What is the DreamTeam in Disney Dreamlight Valley? Features, Security, and How It Works

The DreamTeam is a social feature introduced in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It allows you to create a private group of up to seven friends to exchange items, share your creations, and track your progress together.

After unlocking the Friendship Is Everything quest, you can create your team by choosing a name, a Disney motto, and a motif. The game then provides you with a code to share with your friends, while giving you full control over membership requests.

Within a DreamTeam, each member can express their needs, request or offer items, post photos in the feed, and visit other members’ valleys. During visits, teammates can shop at Scrooge’s store or collect ingredients and meals you leave on the ground, but never your furniture, companions, or decorations.

The DreamTeam thus becomes a collaborative, safe, and friendly space designed to strengthen mutual support and creativity among players.

🔒 And what about security?

  • Invitation control: The DreamTeam creator approves or rejects requests. No player can join without your consent, and banning someone is very easy.

  • Protected inventory: Items in your inventory and chests remain strictly private. No one can take or modify them.

  • Untouchable decorations: Furniture, companions, and placed elements in your valley cannot be moved or stolen by visitors.

  • Items on the ground: Anything you deliberately drop (ingredients, meals, materials) can be picked up by teammates. This is the only “free exchange zone.”

  • Scrooge’s shop: Visitors can buy from your shop when it’s open, without affecting your money. However, purchased items disappear from your displayed stock, so it’s recommended to shop first yourself.

  • Quests and progress: Your missions, progress, and choices remain entirely personal and cannot be altered by other members.
